I've read several articles that suggest that you should not throw away your expired coupons. Rather, you should send them to military families overseas who can use them several months past their expiration at their local commisaries.

This idea really sparked my interest, as I frequently get freebies in the store using coupons. There are many coupons that would generate freebies and or extremely cheap products that I don't get to use each month. Either, I don't use the particular product; it's not sold in my area; or, I just run out of time before the sale is over. So, I flinch when I have to throw good coupons away!
